Electromagnetism is a phenomenon of electricity that causes magnetic field. This is produced when an electric current flows through a conductor or cables. We can find out South and North pole of generated magnetic field with the help of direction of current flow. Whenever an electric current flows through a conductor, a magnetic filed is built up around that conductor, this is called electromagnetism. We can see this filed using a card board, iron powder and current carrying wire according to the figure 1.1.

इलेक्ट्रो मैगनेटीज्म एक इलेक्ट्रिकल घटना है जिसके कारण चुंबकीय क्षेत्र बनता है | जब किसी चालक या वायर से विद्युत् धारा प्रवाहित होती है तो उसके चारो तरफ चुंबकीय क्षेत्र बनता है | धारा प्रवाह की दिशा की मदद से हम उसमे उतपन्न हुवे चुंबकिय क्षेत्र का उत्तरी और दक्षिणी ध्रुव ज्ञात कर सकते है | जब कभी भी किसी चालक से होकर विद्युत् धारा प्रवाहित होती है उसमे चुंबकीय क्षेत्र बनता है इसे ही विद्युत चुम्कत्व कहते है |
